Life and education :Humberto's life end education : was privileged and of great care, spending his time in reading books about his favorite authors, in the properties owned by his parents. From a very young age, he devoted himself passionately to reading, especially by the authors of the Orient. Fierro, came to pass times of six months, in which it was locked up, letting the hair grow to the level of the shoulders. When he was introverted, he discarded social relations, and the overwhelming noise, seeking solitude and peace, in one of the peasant properties of his parents. Due to his simplicity and modesty, he spent his entire life as an amanuensis or secretary in an office belonging to the Public Ministry, without getting distressed at economic progress. He concentrated all his dedication and commitment on poetry, music and painting, standing out in the first of these. Humberto Fierro was struck by scientific and philosophical readings, alternating with his masters of world literature. His extensive knowledge of the French language gave him the opportunity to read to various symbolists of his own language, succeeding in expanding through them the strange beliefs of life. Next to Arturo Borja, Ernesto Noboa Caamaño and Medardo Ángel Silva, Fierro integrates the group of modernists called "Generación Decapitada".
