Son of a well-to-do family, he acquired a thorough education, and devoted much of his time to reading his favorite authors on his parents' estates. HUMBERTO FIERRO Humberto Fierro (Quito, June 17, 1890 - Quito, 1929) 1 was an Ecuadorian poet belonging to the so-called Generation decapitated, composed by several poets of the early twentieth century. Son of a wealthy family made up of Mr. Enrique Fierro Rosero and Mrs. Amalia Jarrín Zapata. He acquired careful education and in the properties of his parents, in Quito and in Miraflores in Cayambe, as a teenager he devoted a lot of time to reading his favorite authors and poets. In it stood out philosophical and scientific readings and especially of the French symbolist poets and Parnassians.
